Accessible.
Affordable. Effective. Nip + Fab was created to be all these with their
(ever-expanding) skincare lines. Each line has been formulated using a
cocktail of advanced ingredients to target specific concerns.
I have been
playing with their quite exotic sounding Dragon’s Blood FIX range. It is
formulated using the sap from the Croton Lechleri tree and hyaluronic acid. The
Hyaluronic
Acid and Glycerin to keep skin hydrated and Dragon’s Blood to coat the
skin and protect against environmental aggressors. For us city gals, this
is a god send. “Dragon’s Blood” is not something I’ve heard much about, other
than in this product, but it certain sounds pretty powerful. So what did I
think?
A celeb favourite,
you may have already heard of the Dragons Blood Cleansing pads from the likes
of Kylie Jenner & Millie Mackintosh. I used both side of the pad on each
side of my face, wiping away anything that has been left behind after the daily
cleanse and tone. Pads can often come out of the packet rough and dry, but I
just love how saturated these are. Nip + Fab’s pad are lightly quilted with
enough texture to remove any nasties left behind, depending on how much
pressure you apply this may be a little much for sensitive skin. These work
especially well in the morning before applying your moisturiser. The Salicylic
and Hyaluronic acids will helps to cleanse deep into pores whilst hydrating the
skin, but be sure to use SPF after. With 60 pads inside, you’ll easily get a month’s
daily use out of one pot and they’re so convenient… straight into the travel
bag they go!
The Nip +
Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Mask only takes a mere 10 minutes to work it’s magic,
but can also be used as an intensive overnight treatment - just don’t forget to
wash it off in the morning. The gel-like texture makes for easy application and
minimal irritation. As it absorbs, the skin becomes noticeably plumper,
smoothing skins as it hydrates. There's a comfortable tightness without
the drying effect that you can feel after using this.
This does contain a few
ingredients on the ‘naughty’ list, which are known allergens and
toxins, so if your prone to sensitivity this could cause you to flare. The good news is that these compounds come in towards the end of
the ingredients list, meaning there’s a relatively small amount in the formula.
Considering
their effectiveness and a fairly decent ingredient profile, the Nip + Fab
Dragon’s Blood and Glycolic Fix skincare lines are worth checking out – some
products more than others. The real gem of the two I’ve tried out are the
Dragons Blood FIX Pads – they make the perfect multi-tasking treatment with
high-quality ingredients and budget-friendly prices.
