Post Fashion Week Fever

Feeling a little run down over the past week, which I assume is down to the crazy mad rush that comes and goes with the life of a London Fashion Week Intern.

I'm on a diet of honey lemon teas and night nurse so I'll be back blogging soon, but till then I will be taking a little break while I recover from my post-fashion-week fever.

Not to worry, I assure you there is lots of great things to come as I'm hoping to introduce a new beauty segment to the blog...so watch out for any updates.

In the mean time, time to dig out your skirts and sunnies fellow Londoners......it looks like Spring is finally on its way ;)

LFW AW14/15 Day 5 - KTZ

KTZ's show, although having run 20 minutes late, definitely did not disappoint.

Gothic grunge seemed to be the recurring theme within the AW14 collection, as streetwear met couture in an oddly effective mash-up. Although the monochromatic colour palette was consistent throughout the show, the designs and textures were far from simplistic. Aztec themes, stripes and sequins all made an appearance, and with bomber jackets set to remain high fashion in AW14, KTZ seem to have given theirs a twist.

An off-the shoulder bomber dress is the update that has been added. Paired with wedge hi-top trainers, and matching leggings, the collection is urban but still completely wearable.

The practicality of the collection is only offset by the oversized chunky jewellery. Massive gold necklaces and drop down earrings completed the looks, while hair and make-up were kept minimal.

Sleek, low ponytails and barefaced make-up has been the key look throughout fashion week and this appears to have been continued in their AW14 show.

KTZ are really making their mark on the London fashion scene.

Back to uni and very busy being homeless and pregnant this month (don't ask!). Who knows, homeless-pregnancy Chic could be the next big thing!

This was my outfit a few weeks back now, from London Fashion Week and I am absolutely in love with it.

The see-though element makes things a but more interesting when playing with layers and texture, and its perfect when adding a simple twist to what would otheriwse be a simple and boring outfit.

LFW Day 1 - Christopher Raeburn SS14

Time to celebrate the madness that is London Fashion Week, and the only way to do it is with great style.

Sadly as an intern I wasn't able to take as many photo's as I would have liked, but it does mean that I've got photo's from behind the scenes of yesterdays Christopher Raeburn Show to share with you.

Interning has definitely been an experience I won't forget, not only because it will take me weeks to catch up on sleep (or lack of!), but I have also been able to see how a design studio works and exactly what being a designer would entail. One of my highlights would be the day before show, it all gets very exciting, with sample pieces sorted and final checks done, it's time for the details like model castings, and hair and make-up testing. Lucky me was chosen for hair testing, with hair dresser Stephen Low from L'oreal, and although it underwent a last minute restyle in the actual show, it was a lot of fun.

They have some great pieces, my favourites being those made from parachute and their use of interesting fabrics and techniques but nothing too is outrageous or different.

Working LFW was such a great experience and although you may think being a dresser is easy, think again! Dressing someone else is hard enough, but under pressure to get your model out on time, with two people tugging at every limb, thinking about buckles ands zips etc., at the same time as not destroying hair, make-up, and samples....well it doesn't get any easier!

Libery's does LFW

The excitments mounts as we are only four days away from London Fashion Week!

My first day as a Christopher Raeburn Intern had me on my feet for 12 hours straight (Literally!), and while the tasks didn't exactly require much brain power it was still a lot of fun; meeting new people and experiencing work in a fashion label. Next was my Apple appointment, and I definately needed cheering up after this, so I ventured down to Liberty for some window gazing.

To celebrate the opening of London Fashion Week 2013 on Friday 13th, Liberty London has launched a series of new window installations.

These brilliant and beautifully creative displays feature the Autumn/Winter ranges of British fashion designers including the likes of Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.

I'm loving bold red borders and contrasting urban grey background, it just makes the clothes 'pop'.

Lots more to come this week so keep your eyes peeled...

This is a casual version of yesterdays interview outfit an internship position with Christopher Raeburn during London Fashion Week. Along with black boots, a blazer and some red lippy, I was dresses to impress.

I was nervously awaiting the email this morning but now very happy to say you are looking at a Christopher Raeburn intern!! I'f you're lucky I may even be able to share some snaps from backstage :D

I've recently taken a sudden liking to print so when I saw this dress it was a must have! You can also never really go wrong with monochrome or geometric print at the moment.

This is one on them simple go-to outfits that I turns to in desperate situations, for me is easy, comfortable and looks great when you just can't be bothered. Last wednesday I teamed this with wardrobe staple, converse, to get me through a very busy day running around with kids, shopping and last minute errands!
