Summer Style Statement

Top + Trousers - Stradivarius
As the sun rises earlier and sets later, we are blessed with so many more hours of light. Sunlight is truly magical and it is near impossible to feel low with its presence. With my mood forever reflected in my fashion, there are currently no dull and dark colours to be found in my wardrobe. As a creature of subtlety, I don’t like to make too much of a fuss of myself therefore my pallet is somewhat safe. White is enough to make a statement without hitting you in the face when you walk by.
Cuts and fitting, along with texture and fabric, is one of the biggest changes I make in my style, aside from colour, when Summer rolls around. I introduce linens, lace, cottons and silks to contrast each other, adding detail whilst also proving breathable and comfortable choices when it starts to hot up. This ensemble is from Stradivarius.
I actually walked right pasted this one and out of the store. I later realised I was crazy for letting this staple slip by as the quality of the trousers especially is second to none.
Summer hues are what excite me most about the season, everything becomes brighter, fresher and far more feminine. Pinks are back with a bang (not that they ever left) as are khakis, nudes, navies and wonderful Whites!
White is and always will be my ultimate style staple providing me with the window of opportunity to add that colour, that fun and that playfulness into my style without being garish or imposing. This is one that will compliments rather than clash with my skin tone.
Enjoying the heat - Whats your summer colour?

Postcards from Cote d’Azur

The sun-kissed lands of the Cote d’Azur are blessed with a glamorous coastline lapped by the warm Mediterranean, ultra chic coastal cities, and picturesque hilltop villages. It’s not difficult to understand why the French Riviera has long attracted the rich and famous.  The sheer beauty of the Cote d’Azur is unrivalled. Exuding such sophistication, the beautiful blue waters will have me crawling back to the French Riviera in no time.

I associated it with film stars schmoozing on yachts in Cannes and glamorous ladies holidaying in Monaco. We stayed in Nice, a great city to explore on foot. It’s relatively flat, and there are plenty of photogenic places to see.
I was pleasantly surprised! - Check out the snaps

White Wash

Flash of white coming through….. And no I'm not talking about my Mr.'s non-existent tan (self tanning is slightly harder than you may think!). The blog will occasionally feature the total white outfit, but there's just something so appealing about a totally blank canvas. It also subconsciously makes me feel cooler in the summer months, reflecting the sun and all that…
I wore this just a couple of days ago when London decided to show off for the Bank holiday sporting 26 degrees. I suffer from hyper-pigmentation in the sun which explains why I'm covering up when London's practically roasting everyone (no complaints, I love it like this!). But I guess if you're covering up, you might as well cover up in white, yeh?

Hope your all making the most of the sunshine

Spring Trench Trend

Hot and sweaty from an overcrowded and stuffy tube ride home, a lady caught my eye in a extra long, well fitted coat. Slim arms, straight cut; cant go wrong! Exuding length and elegant, all things you want. This ones a great investment piece and can be a trendier budget purchase depending on what your looking for and where your looking .

Whether it’s a trench, duster, rain jacket or kimono, you cannot go wrong. And chances are, you already have something in your closet that works with this trend, like favourite waterfall jacket from last year, which I will be wearing on repeat for years to come. The savvy shopper always checks his or her closet before buying something new. Anything past the knees works! Something about that extra few inches of length gives an edgy sophistication to a basic outfit.

What's your favourites?!
