Summer hits London, well it currently looks like it's been and gone but that beside the point, I seem to have subconsciously slipped into holiday mode! 
While that's great, (for me) it means that after working full-time, and meeting friends...blogging has been put on the back burner, but have no fear...I haven't forgotten and will have a post up for you soon

V&A Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

The McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit is simply break taking. 
An absolute must see for anyone and everyone!!

It does true justice to the creative genius that was, and is, Alexander McQueen. Not only have the displayed the collections and accessories in the most extraordinary showcase I believe the V&A has ever done, but it is a real sensory and stimulating experience.

Since being shown in the New York Metropolitan Museum, the showcase has been expanded to show casing bigger, bolder and braver designs to pay homage to the British designer. It is clear that every detail has been considered from sounds and atmosphere to temperature and lighting.

Personal Favourite by far has to be the Cabinet of Curiosities. You enter a tall dark room covered from floor to ceiling in rotating and stationary McQueen masterpieces. In the centre you find revolving the att too well know spray paint dress from his SS/1999 collection.
I could spend hours in here just sitting and being. Absorbing everything around me!

Summer is certainly rolling in to London, and of course this calls for all sorts of adventures with the evening light out a little longer.
One of my favourite things is being able to venture outside without having to grab a scarf or jacket on the way out. A cool and classic outfit is always the way to go, and white is a must with these temperatures. There's something about the sunshine that just makes everyone want to be outside and active, that and I can finally justify ice cream featuring as a staple in my diet.

New Kicks - Nike Air Max Thea

Nike Air Max Thea

Living in the city, I walk most of the time. Hence why you usually catch me in nothing other that something comfortable on my feet. No one said comfort doesn't come beautifully packaged and disguised as trainers.  

I must admit, I'm not really the trainer type of gal, but when I saw the all white Nike Air Max Thea I had to have it. Lucky of me they were a birthday gift, and you now have to prize these off my feet at the end of the day. Yes they really are that comfortable. Designed as a running shoe, they certainly work in my favour when running late. While I already love an all white shoe I am always hesitant to buy them, because keeping them white is near enough impossible, however the shape and contrasting textures really sold me.  Teamed with a pair of black jeans and white tee, both wardrobe essentials, your ready to hit the ground running....literally.
